Wei Liang put up an amazing performance during this match, but that was not enough to prevent X-S FC from losing 2-0 against a team comprises of JC and poly students. The opponent started the match offenseively and tested the back four early on. In previous matches, the defence was as solid as the berlin wall, but this time they were up against a more aggresive bunch of players. It took the giant hands of Wei Liang to keep the strikers at bay, as he pounded on every shots that came to him. THe moment of panic came when a striker penetrated the defence line and was ready to fire his shot. Incredibly, Wei Liang dived to his right n punched the ball away, much to the delights of the X-S FC team and especially the defence who had let the striker slipped from their grasp. The sloppy defence was once again the culpritin another move made by the opponent, but this time, Wei Liang was showing why he is the number 1 in the team. A shot drilled by The Singh was deflected, but Wei Liang was quick to change his direction n pounded the ball away. However the defence was not quick enough to clear the danger and the lose ball was collected by the opponent who tried another shot. Miraculously(how to spell siol??!!) Wei Liang was quick to recover and diverted the danger. Another follow up shot was drilled in before he could breath a sigh of relief as the ball sailed right to his grasping hand. X-S FC survived the onslaught once again and because of the fantastic display by Wei Liang, the scoreline remain nil nil at half time.

During the first half not even a single shot on target was produced by X-S FC, so changes were made to the team. The 2 full backs were given priority to roam up and down the field and providing the extra man up front. The tactics proved to be successful as X-S FC began dominating the proceedings during the second half. But the attack failed to penetrate the centre backs of MJC. The attack looked blunt went Huda had to limped off injured after he was tackled down by the keeper.

THe first goal scored was scored through a set piece. In a rather unfashionable way, the ball rebounded off Farrell's thigh and went in. But the drama didnt just end there. The Manutd jersey player tauted the defenders out of nowhere an made blood boiled, especially Farrell's. In a rather unprofessional way, the Manutd player kicked the ball away.

The second goal came when Nizar lost the ball down the left flank and Xavier made full use of the mistake by slotting the ball byond the reach of Wei Liang. Its game over for X-S FC as they struggled to even test the keeper. Shahrul came close to pulled 1 back , but his shot landed on the wrong side of the post.

Even though X-S FC put up a brave performance, they were still lagging behind in terms of teamwork and experience. They had finally tasted defeat after a long winning streak. This should be a match the team have to look back and ponder...what went wrong???

| pArKeR | okae...dis is late coz the webby was spoilt laz nite. so, we had a superb match against a bunch of poly kids. only their goalkeeper was worth mentioning. ours had almoz nuthin to do. i'd like to give special mention of de defence [ derek, alvin, farrell n shah ] for being solid. great defending. n wei liang, tt was very good of u to marshal ur back four. very encouraging 6-0 win. okae...
Wei Liang[gk] : had nuthin much to do, had a good match basically. 2nd clean sheet. dun get cocky tho. i'm impressed. YEAH.
Derek[rb]: was lookin shaky n lost at de start but settled in soon n SHACKLED their left mid. great job. now u slowly learn to overlap n we'll be great.
Alvin[cb]: solid. was overpowered once or twice by their big guy but nevetheless, still impressive. great job. two thumbs up[ur ass]. hahahaha. jokin ah.
Farrell[nbcb]: realli NBCB. tt's wad their strikers wud be saying. nesta-like. didn't seem to haf had his feathers ruffled. two thumbs [n all middle fingers] up!
Shahrul [lb]: our goal-scoring left back. excellent. havent lost his goal-scoring instincts. gr8 job. scored a goal n impressive overlaps.
Yaz [rm]: 1 goal 1 assist. captain. nuf' said? haha, action sia. (btw, [rm] cud mean ROAMING MIDFIELDER or RIGHT MIDFIELDER) yay. (its not my fault tt the gk saved my penalty! he's good!) haha.
Daniel [cm]: tireless worker. midfield engine. as huda said, energizer e2(dunno how to make square). mebe too wreckless in challenges but we're not complainin. tt's how he got injured in de clash wif their gk. keep it up. nuf' said.
Nizar [cam]: worked hard n showed his hunger from start to finish. countless assists. does evrything well. definitely nuf' said.
Boon Leng [lm]: gr8 job. scored a tyco goal wif his left foot but who cares?! its a goal. if he starts to go for evry flying ball n not wait for it to hit de grnd, he will be better.
Huda [sc]: can rarely fault him. evrything's gr8. juz incredible. 1 goal. enuf' said.
Jia Hui [sc]: the bastard who didnt buy jersey. nvm, he got a goal. was brought down by the gk. but we gave dem the benefit of de doubt.
Wee Meng [rm]: subbed in at half time n didn't disappoint. u gotta be braver! go in for tackles! (but dont be violent ah) dun juz ball watch. one to watch in de future. mebe becoz he didnt attend training. wad a bastard.
Yong Liang [dunno wad positon]: he's part of our team tho he played for his bro's team. showed his ability. gr8 player. no doubt. gr8 match. now come back to our team!

nw u muz be wonderin how come we won 6-0 but only 5 players scored.... well, we had de liberty of gettin a free goal thanx to their defender. mebe it's like "score 5 get 1 free". HAHAHA. i'm a bastard. the ball we played with also sucked. we cudnt complain much as it's all sed n done n we came out firing on all cylinders. after their own goal, their goalkeeper(who WAS their best player) took his gloves off n walked off the pitch with pride hurtin. i mean, who wouldn't? hahaha. but i'd like to say that that behaviour is very unprofessional n lacks sportsmanship. oookaee...

| pArKeR | team, i received saddening news after a few days of no contact with nuri. nuri told me that he has just been discharged from hospital. he was admitted due to a low blood platelet count. this means that he could have died if he bled. thankfully, he did not. no wonder i did not receive any replies to my sms-es. he looked as healthy as normal when we last met him and we never suspected something like this could have happened. let's all pray for him to return to match fitness and stay in the pink of health. maybe he was just never fated to play in a striker's position? but i will wait for the day my decision to place him in the strikeforce is justified. nuri might come along tomorrow to watch us play. =GHOSTED=

| pArKeR | tmr plae street soccer at deyi @ 3pm...training on 03 dec'03 was rather taxing as only 7 pple came...these 7 have virtually confirmed their places for next sundae's match against yong liang's brother's team at ngee ann poly...so the remainder of the team is subject to availabilty...btw, i take back my word of huda's form not dippin even when he's attached...it seems that his form AND attitude is spiralling...he somehow did not attend training due to a tinge of laziness...n even if he did..he did not want to help by bringin a ball...n judging by his performance in the previous match, he did not score his average of 2 goals per game..so, i hope his gf wud let him off a little n provide encouragement so that his determination wud resurface and bring the team to greater heights...as you can see, there are fewer/ no grammatical/spelling errors in this report as it is NOT done by shahrul...hahaha!...=GHOSTED=

X-S FC continued their marvellous run as Shahrul scored a brace while setting up another two goals to help his team trashed The Fathers 7-0 early this morning. Even with Nizar unavailable, the X-S FC showed guts and skills to overcome their opponents in a fashionable manner.

Right from the kick-off, the lads, led by inspirational captain, Yasin were on the assault and as early as the eight minute, the flood gate was open courtesy of Shahrul. Picking the ball from Boon Leng, he lobbed the keeper from the left hand side and placed the ball on the top right hand corner, to give X-S FC a perfect start to the game. The match began to slow down as X-S FC controlled the match in every department. But drama soon unfold at the half hour mark when replacement striker, Jia Hui hobbled off the field after he was on the receiving end of a reckless challenge by the opponent. Vincent was brought in and the attack looked sharper after that. Just before half time, Wee Meng double the scoreline, in a rather controversial manner as the defenders were appealing offside. But the goal stands.

At half time, few changes were made. Shahrul was pushed to the right hand side of midfield with Derek slotting in at right back and Yong Liang on the left hand side of defence. The changes proved critical as X-S FC began to show their dominance in the game. Shahrul once again open the floodgate in the second half, this time shooting from outside of the penalty area from the right and gave the keeper no chance. He was time and again in the thick of action as his crosses were troubling the keeper. That carved an opening for Yasin as he stride to look for goal. Shahrul lifted the ball to the penalty aread beyond the reach of the defenders and with only the goalie to beat, Yasin lobbed the keeper. But somehow a defender rushed into the box and instead of clearing it out, he tucked it in into his own net. 4-0

It was soon 5-0 as Shahrul's cross was again fumbled by the keeper and he pushed it into his own net. By then, X-S FC had taken foot of the paddle and were dictating the action of the game. Wei Liang was rarely tested, and when he was, he showed his agility by pouncing on the ball. The defenders were absorbing all the pressure by then and the match looked to end at that scoreline. But Boon Leng and Khairul had other things in mind. First, Boon Leng placed a shot at the bottom right hand corner of the post, giving the keeper no chance. To add salt to the wound, Khairul burst from the halfway line, ran past the whole pack defence before whacking the ball in the net to make it 7-0 during injury time. A truly goals galore match.

Injury list : Goh Jia Hui
| pArKeR | and tis is our *STAR* striker Khairul Huda who neva loses form even when he's just got attached..ain't tt sweet pple? let's all go weak n "aawwww..."..hahaha..he scored a ronaldo solo-goal from the halfway line...here he goes...(psst..he oso got 6pts fer prelim)

Yasin and his X-S FC teammates will battle against an unknown but experienced team comprising of Fathers and Workers. Losing is definitely not an option for this young lad as he rarely taste defeat in soccer matches and like other matches, the team's morale could not get any better. Though the last minute injury on star striker Nuri(high fever)would have an impact on the match, the team should not be too concern as his replacement is one rare gem. Called back to the team after Nizar was unavailable, he was placed on the left side of midfield before being pushed up to the forward role. He proved his credential by hitting a hat-trick in a recent friendly match, so expect this young lad to be fired up for this game. As describe by his teammates, Jia Hui's ability to hold the ball well while creating chances for himself and for others add proved that he is an important asset to the team.

Missing in action for tomorrow's match besides Nuri will be Nizar whos presence will surely be miss. That means the pairing of Daniel and Boon Leng will have to work extra hard to pump in balls into the area for the forwards. New edition to the team, Wee Meng will provide much needed dimension to the attack. His crosses from the left would help alot in helping the team to create chances.

A worrying side for this team would be the defence, who had seen some shaky performances lately. The 2 full backs will have their work cut out and will have to try to stop crosses being being floated in as the centre backs are vulnerable to crosses. Fitness will also take a toll in this department as 2 players(Shahrul and Farrell) are not yet 100% fit.

A test of fitness, flair and speed will be battled out on the field tomorrow. Any chance of Yasin's men to win this game will boil down to how well the forwards take their chances and the defence containing the opposition. If they can perform the same way as they did in previous matches, there is no reason why X-S FC will not win this match.

Players to look out for : Khairul Huda, Daniel, Boon Leng

| pArKeR | btw...tmr our campbell-turned-striker cant play...he sed he got fever...under docs orders he cant play...he sae he cant plae properly...thus...~WM/WhiteMan/WeeMeng/Weemp(wimp)/WEE is an MP~ will plae...sori ah wee...cant help it...wee on the left...boon right...and so on...i am =GHOSTED=
Starting Line Up For Tomorrow's crunch match:

Keeper: Lee Wei Liang

Defenders: Yong Liang, Farrell Tan, Jasdeep Singh, Shahrul Fahmy

Midfielders: Yasin(C) Daniel, Boon Leng, Wee Meng

Forwards: Jia Hui, Khairul Huda

Subs: Derek Neo, Vincent
| pArKeR | hiya..my turn...tmr got match...defenders..when in doubt, clear to THE SIDES!!..not in the middle... THE SIDES!! ..okae...so wingers, rem to collect clearances..dun leave ur positions...strikers, come back to defend...only until midfield lah...if u energizer can held until goalkeeper oso can..i dun mind...okae so its...8.30 at amk mrt...take 25 to hougang..alight after seein bus depot...i am =GHOSTED=
The team looks strong in attack. The towering height of Nuri adds depth and dimension to the team. His switch to the striker position helps the team to exploit his strength. Crosses are easily met by Nuri who has a natural and strong ability with his headers. However, he still needs to adjust to his new position as the timing of his runs can still be improve. Khairul, his striking partner, never looked short of energy. The plucky guy, who has come into ranks as one of the best striker in the school made his presence felt in training today. His never-ending runs plus his vison helps to carve openings for his fellow striker. Defenders will have their hands full when dealin with this chap. Nizar still looks well above the team's standard, easily the star player of the team. Once his in your team, your chances of winning can easily be doubled.

The midfield had a quiet training today. Nothing much happened durin the morning. Daniel and BoonLeng showed strength and speed in the game, with Daniel the main midfield generator. Boon Leng showed some sharp tacklings during training, showing that he can attack and defend at the same time. Over on the right, Yasin the captain showed some dazzling dribblings, but sometime was let down by his inability to cross the ball constantly over to the penalty box. However he showed glimpse of his power and accuracy in shooting.

The defence look shaky most of the times. With Nuri gone, the centre backs looked vulnerable from high crosses. Jasdeep was caught up at times from crosses, which end up with few goals being scored against him. Farrell however still looked strong, though he cant single-handledly clear all the balls away. But the 2 full backs showed some decent performance during training. Yong Liang was effective at right back, most of the times stoppin the attack from his position. Shahrul, switchin position with Nuri, looks shaky at times, but slowly settled down in his new role, dealing with most of the time Yasin n Yong Xiang(correct rite??)

Vincent and Yeoh Yong, were also impressive during training. To Vince's hard work and determination, he was rewarded a goal, thanks to a defence lapse, the culprit Jasdeep. Yeoh Yong can be seen as an ideal replacement for Nuri, though he lack the ability to outjump his striker. But his timed tackling erase any weakness in him. Clarence, the reserve goalkeeper showed some good handling, although towards the end he looks bored. But a reliable replacement nonetheless.

As the team prepare for their first match against THE FATHERS, one might wonder how the team can cope without Nizar as he is unavailable because of personal affairs. This will surely be a true test for the team, who just recieved endorsements from Umbro, the club main sponsor. Against a more physical and experience team, AndFC will have their hands full in keeping a respectable scoreline. However in soccer, anything is possible. Watch out for the new striking pair of Huda and Nuri. The defence have to buck up in order to contain the opponents, especially when it comes to dealing with high ball. The match looks set to be the toughest match AndFC had to go against with. But with their confidence running high, AndFC can just pull a surprise in the match. We will just have to wait for the final whistle to be blown on Sunday and see who will be left standing, and the other, well..still standing, but with pride scarred.

The next report will be the night before the match. Its gonna be hotter than Chelsea ManUtd match! All the Best!
