With Yarsene Wenger gone, Rafarrell Benitez looks set to instil his style of play into his players. Compassionate Yarsene has always given his players chances and chances even though they dont perform. IT WILL HAPPEN NO LONGER!!!

Rafarrell is a strict disciplinarian who rules with an iron fist. The first to go will have to be Derek Neo Khee Peng after his atrocious showing in the previous game. He simply played as the opposition with his fucked up defending. Derek will be transfer listed and looks set to leave the club for Leeds United. The new right back set to arrive looks to be Cicineo. Tenacious in the tackle, brave and adventurous, he seems the clone of Derek. But we hope for some better commitment.

This post doubles as a warning to all players of X-S FC. Rafarell Benitez will take no nonsense! Players who arrive late for matches will not be tolerated! There will be no prima donnas no star players and no egos. No more half fucked performances. This is a team!

X-S played a mini-match against Mayon today at Khatib. They drew first blood when Farrell delivered a cross a la Beckham and Amin powered a header home. Soon, it was 2-0 as X-S doubled the scoreline. From then, the match was being played in the Mayon half. However, as soon as Kim left the match to visit Ali's home, X-S wilted under pressure and conceded two goals in quick succession. Former on-loan player who is captain of Mayon, Thaqif, assisted both goals. Sissyneo lived up to his name as he single-handedly scored for the opponent. Here's an elaboration of his own goal as he wants it. Firstly, his half-fuck clearance went to the opposing team in the X-S half. Their striker then attempted a half-fuck cross-shot that Derek kicked forcefully into his own net, beating the invincible Muhsin. He made many fabulous saves today, drawing praise from even the opponents.

Its the start of a new era for X-S from today onwards. Everythings changing, as the transition to adulthood becomes more evident. From dicks to manhood. Ali has been thrusted alot of responsibilty at such an early stage in life. I assure him that we will be there if he ever needs our help in any way possible. Kim arrived with RZ in his brother's car, a Hyundai Trajet. Nuri and Yasin each rode a motorcycle to the game. Seems that its only a matter of time before everyone has a licence and their own vehicle. Bhai is currently taking both Class 2B and Class 3 licences.

X-S is also proud to announce that Daniel and team captain Yasin are headed to OCS to join Shahrul and Huda. They will be missed in the coming months as the team captaincy is handed to service medic, Farrell. (As ironic as it is.) Amin said, "Like that, we won't be playing anymore matches." However, we all hope that its not true. X-S fans will definitely miss the team's beautiful football.

X-S FC seems to have found their form of the good old days. Today's resounding 3-0 win over the Indo team justifies the statement. I believe this to be mainly due to the increased fitness of the entire team after attending their respective Military Schools. Furthermore, the team has found a good balance and good understanding in the squad.

Xabi Ahlongso, Jasdeep and Nizar Mansiz scored to secure the win for X-S against worthy opponents. The team was on fire as manager Jose Booninho's e-lessons which were posted on the team website for the past month definitely helped. Especially the lesson on passing as the team played some slick passing throughout the whole match.

With Nizar arriving late, Ahlongso and Fabreyaz paired up in attack. A devastating partnership that Luis Aragones should consider in the national team. They constantly pressured the oppositions backline and eventually, their goalkeeper fumbled allowing Long to tap-in easily. From then on, the team controlled the game.

The Indons almost came back but Yongliango and Derek combined to clear the danger off the line. Man-of-the-Match Tan Zhong Lun was the rock at the back and even went up to join the atttack at times. Farrell felt so safe, he even tried to let the opposition steal the ball from him as he danced around just outside the penalty area. Once, Zhong even tackled 3 men, one by one before joining the attack. His precise long passes from the back are a welcome addition to the team's arsenal.

Former No. 1 Wei Liang has proven that he can double as a midfield anchor cum destroyer. He played there and broke up many of the opposition's attacks by throwing his weight around and even winning headers. New No. 1 Muhsin was at his usual shot-stopping best as he kept a clean sheet. Fabreyaz and Daniel ran the whole field as usual. Boon Leng and Bhai played neat touches and Nizar was at his normal. He ONLY did one bicycle kick and scored a screamer into the top corner with one touch. Yeap. Thats his usual self.

The fans at Stade de Gan Eng Seng were treated to a footballing feast today....thanks to....
X-S FC!

Colin and Kero aside, it's time for manly stuffs as the new season is about to kick off as soon as some players return from their military fitness boot camp. The boot camp has been a mainstay of many team's training programme as it improves the fitness levels and sharpness of its players. However, X-S FC will be terribly hit with the lost of key player Wayne Booney.

Throughout the past months, players were undergoing intensive training to develop other skills besides those required on the field. Shahrul and Yong Liang are undergoing leadership training as the team requires more leadership to inspire the men. Are these hints that Captain Fabreyaz(that's his title not his rank) is going to be replaced as team captain? Rafarell Benitez has declined to comment on the matter. Recruits Yasin, Daniel and gay boy Derek will join back training as fitter and stronger privates. Increasing muscle mass on Derek can only turn him into the fearsome sabretoothed juggernaut. Left wingers, watch ur front! Farrell will undergo training to improve his medical skills in case of casualites that occur during the game. Medics are an important bunch of people as seen when they rescued Cisse's broken leg to prevent amputation.

One can practically smell anticipation lingering in the air as supporters look forward to the new season. Once again, stay tuned...

Tactical Lesson 1

The game of soccer, complex in many aspects, can be broken down simply into
1. Passing the ball to a team-mate
2. Passing the ball to an opponent
3. Scoring a goal( which is essentially passing the ball into the opponent's goal )

From this we can all see that soccer is about PASSING ( no offence to fabreyaz ). Why do we pass the ball? We need to pass so tt we wldnt lose the ball when idiots are pressuring us. We need to pass so that pple in better positions can create something. We need to pass to irritate the opponents ( although certain pple who dribble alot irritates opponents as well as team-mates. WE ALL KNOW WHO.) As we can see, PASSING IS EVERYTHING!!!

What we should achieve: constant movement of the ball to irritate opponents, shag the dogs out, and go for the jugular vein.

Remember how FMFC tormented us with their crisp passing. Short passes around the right dragging us there and suddenly, wham! Someone sends the long alonso-esque pass right to the other flank leaving us like a lamb in the headlights.

Ps: yet another rubbish post due to boredom. Hopefully this will be of help in building a common understanding among team-mates allowing us to achieve the greater goal: JOGA BONITO

Awakening of the Sleeping Giants?
Tohari Paijan & Wang Meng Meng, The New Paper

X-S FC chalked up a famous victory at home, beatin Haikal Who Is Hilmie's Brother Football Club (HWIHBFC) 6-2. Jose Booninho's name was chanted at the final whistle by the Khatib faithful, who have called themselves Khatibites. This win was an important one, due to the disappointng run of recent results and the looming summer break that will see the team out of action for around 2-3 weeks.

The team lined up with Muhsin in goal, Farrell, Nizar and Amin in central defence and Thaqif and Yong Liang as the right and left wing-backs respectively. Captain Fabreyaz was deployed at the heart of midfield, flanked by Singh and Daniel. Boon Han was the supporting striker as new recruit Zhong spearheaded the attack. The Portugese management of Jose Booninho and his assitant, Nuri Faria, left Derek and Yong Xiang on the bench. The opening exchanges saw both teams stroking the ball around, without even breaking a sweat. The probing continued until X-S got tired of it and started with a swift counter that saw Zhong latch onto a long ball from the back and his left foot effort found only the side-netting. HWIHBFC responded swiftly and their dangerous, skillful, playmaking, defensive midfielder broke through the packed X-S midfield and defence after a series of one-twos to face Muhsin one-on-one before slotting it in. X-S knew they needed to win this match and they upped the tempo with waves of attack until Boon Han finally found the net with another one of his trademark screamers from 30 metres out. His shot crashed against the underneath of the crossbar before going in, leaving HWIHBFC goalie Hilmie in no-man's land.

Following that, the two captain's collided in the middle of the park and saw Fabreyaz needing treatment. Derek came on in defence as X-S struggled to hold the scoreline. A flurry of activities soon resulted in a lead for HWIHBFC in the 40th minute as The Big, Bad, Dirty, Defender-Pushing, striker broke through and scored, no thanks to poor defending by the home team. Derek was closest to him, but couldn't stop the ball from going in as he was in a daze. Booninho told Captain Fabreyaz to control midfield and keep the scoreline at 2-1 when he came back on. The midfielders did just that as X-S entered the dressing room trailing by a goal.

After both teams were rejuvenated (X-S drank water and HWIHBFC smoked), they took to the field. This time, Zhong and Farrell were paired up in the heart of defence and they were flanked by Sissy-neo and Yongliango Carlos. Daniel and Fabreyaz patrolled central midfield alongside wingers Thierry Nuri and Yong Xiang. Nizar Mansiz supported Thaqif up front. The changes proved to be a masterstroke by Booninho as X-S controlled the proceedings. The defence repelled evrything thrown at them, including sand and bodies. Daniel didn't let anything pass through midfield and the wingers tore down the flanks to devastating effect. Fabreyaz fed the forwards with a healthy dose of passes, and the goals started to flow. Nizar equalised with the help of Lady Luck as his powerful shot hit Hilmie's foot and went over him. That proved to be the turning point of the match as soon afterwards, Nizar added a second by nutmegging someone and finished with aplomb. HWIHBFC were shocked, but they went down fighting. They came close with a free kick, but their defensive midfielder could only head over the bar. Muhsin was also brilliant as he punched away a corner and then rushed out to clear the ball in a one-on-one situation.

Nevertheless, X-S continued attacking. Yong Xiang got in on the scoring act as he slotted in from a tight angle. X-S now led by two goals. Nizar Mansiz then headed over the bar from Thaqif's quick corner. The match was not done as Nizar had other things in mind. He dragged four defenders with him in a mazy run from midfield and completed his hat-trick as he rifled in from the left. Even Henry would have been proud that. Nuri then screamed as he couldn't get on the end of Thaqif's crossfield pass in another counter-attack. Was it frustration? We can't be too sure. Nuri's screams and war cries throughout the match may have been a crucial factor in the victory as Nizar completed the scoring with a tap-in in the 85th minute.

Man-of-the-Match: Nizar Mansiz as his four goals said it all. The chants of "There's only one Nizar" resonated throughout Khatib City.

Injury Update: Mamad Fabreyaz has a swollen ankle and Co-Manager Yarsene Wenger rates him 60-40 for the next match.

Derek O'Leary Verdict: Sacked because he's gay. An insider from the club told us that he has turned his attentions to goalkeeper Muhsin and his muscular body. They have to be careful not to be caught in the shower together. Boon Han was clearly depressed as he left the stadium way before the match ended.

Jose Booninho Verdict: His trademark jacket and bermudas (seen in the pics below) are now being copied by many fans and the X-S player alike. A very fashionable manager with tactical acumen that cannot be doubted.

A common sight: Jose Booninho (in trademark jacket and bermudas) has a laugh with his players.

The Inside Staff.
The Insider Archive

X-S FC have made an official announcement regarding its backroom staff and Board of Directors.

Yarsene Wenger and Rafarell Benitez have been appointed as the Club Co-Managers.
Bangla is the Official Caretaker of the stadium grounds. He is assisted by Agent "Orange" JH who is an expert at covering up pockmarks, be it on a field or a face.
Bhai Jaga is Head of Security. He has Alvin Kok as his only other security member because they are THAT tough. Both are the only known members of the team who have natural protective layers.
Rahmad Manjen's nephew (s/o Rashef) is the In-Charge of the Special Projects Organising Committee.
Muscular Muhsin is the In-Charge of Building and Renovation Activities. He will be assisted by Kim, the "hamsome" Korean Foreign Worker.
Derek and newly recruited Japanese male model, Boon Han are the poster boys of the X-S team. Any rumours of them being together and being gay rights activists are untrue.
WeeMeng Glazer has been appointed the Club Director, due to his extra experience in the field. He is also presumably more suited for the role since he has spent more years in the Singapore education system than anybody else on the board and backroom staff. Now that, is a remarkable feat in itself.
His Assistant is none other than Silvio Boonlusconi, the Italian tyco-on and his best buddy. They stay in the same estate.
Ali Marzuki is In-Charge of Delivery and Postal Services made by the club, due to his connections with Deliver Halfway Lost (DHL) Services.

Further announcements will be made in future regarding new positions in the backroom staff.

X-S FC is sending out a select group of players to play in the NUS Muslim Society Challenge Shileld 3.
The team is a subsidiary of the X-S FC squad, called Blazing Salvo. Here's a short history.
It started in year 2003 for the Nike SKO competition. Shahrul, Captain Yasin and their friend Hafiz made the team, but went nowhere in the tourney. So the following year, in the Nike Panna KO comp, Yasin called up Singh and Anand and made it to the last 16 of the tourney before The Singh got lobang-ed. Then last year, in Nike's Play to Win compeition, they made in into the top four before Captain Yasin let in a goal to FI & Co. (Fat Indian and his two frens.) who went on to win the tourney coz the Fat Indian blocked the goal the whole time. It was a sad moment in Nikefootball's history, when they took the first prize. A few months later, in the Inter-JC Street Soccer comp held at the Youth Park, the original Blazing Salvo joined forces with Yi Sheng (Monfort's captain) and Hisham (FMFC's goalie) and not forgetting Ramesh Rajaram who scored a spectacular scissors kick in the final (while lying on the floor of coz). Blazing Salvo lost in the final to TPJC on penalties (Anand missed) after a thrilling match which ended at 3-3.
Now, for the upcoming tourney, Anand is missing for international duty. Thus, Nizar, Boon Leng, Daniel and Muhsin are called up to join Eng, Yasin, Bhai and Ram in a bid to further boost the name of Blazing Salvo. Its a 6-a-side in NUS on the 18th Feb, 9am to 5pm.
Details TBA.

Its a new beginning for X-S as 2005 shut its doors and 2006 brought us in. Todae, we clinched victory over Monfort team. (i think thats what they call themselves) X-S has come a long way( 2 years?) and achieved many great things.(i think.) As can be deduced from Vice-Captain, Farrell Terry in his match report, some players from Monfort were disappointing, sporting-wise. However, some X-S players also have to curb their temper. They should follow their Captain, Mamad Fabregas, who had the intention of beating a Monfort player (name undisclosed, in case X-S fans beat him up, but his jersey says SEOW) as soon as he saw his face. Despite that uncontrollable desire to do so, he restrained himself and didnt get into any trouble.

X-S players have therefore agreed not to argue unnecessarily with a bunch of punks who "think they can play soccer" as quoted from a yellow-shorts-wearing source. We go into the New Year with our heads held high following the victory and will enjoy a hearty team dinner at Seoul Garden tomorrow. Players' wives and girlfriends are joining the team for the dinner, thus the entire outlet shall be closed. The Seoul Garden outlet has yet to be chosen and its location is undisclosed as X-S fans may harrass the team. As the team parts briefly for SCHOOL, NS and even work, they have each other in their hearts and like the brothers they are, will regroup again to do what they do best. (What is it that we do best?)

Here's to 2006. A year where some may have homework and A levels, and the rest undergoing National Service and collecting their results, come what may (hopefully, only the best) and the team shall stick together through thick and thin, rain or shine to handle life's challenges.

X-S FC 7 -5 Montfort

Lacking inspiration and creativity, the players had to grit their teeth and grind out a 7-5 over minnows montfort which put up a strong fight to avoid getting thrashed. Ups and downs throughout the match brought out the fighting spirit of the players which was lacking sorely over the past few matches. It was yet again a heated game with quarrels and tackles flying in from all directions from montfort players which seemed more interested in rugby.

Before the game, manager wee "retainee" meng gave some tactical instructions and rallied the players. Montfort opened their account with a controversial goal. The ball apparently crossed the touch-line, however, montfort player-cum-referess waved play on allowing a cross from a dickhead player which caught nizar and farrell out of position which was easily converted by some cock-faced player. 1-0 montfort. Is this to be yet another defeat?

A flurry of goals followed next. yongliang managed a brace, with both goals coming from pin-point corners delivered by kim. Allowing the shortest player to get both crosses speaks of the brilliant montfort defence.

A free-kick from deep then ended in an own goal by nizar. The ball was headed back and upwards which appeared to clear the bar until an unknown force pushed it back down into goal. Nizar was not to be demoralised and subsequently produced the finest of performances which had manager wee gleaming.

In the 2nd half, montfort did managed to fight back from a terrible own goal by farrell. A cross from the left was met by farrell who dived and headed the ball into the top corner. Wonderful finish! It was a dangerous ball which eluded the keeper and swerved into the 6 yard area which was DEFINITELY dangerous. So, we cant blame him. HAHA.

Goals then flowed like water and i cant remember what went on. Boonhan scored a screamer from 50yards which would definitely be a contender for goal of the season. Fights and arguments soon followed. yongliang was deemed to have handelled the ball in his own box by yellow-shorts-guy who played referee for tt very moment. He awarded the penalty to montfort and stepped up to shoot the kick right at the keeper. Someone said he plays for a club?

The biggest boo-boo of the match came when a some pussy montfort player passed the ball to yellow-shorts-wussy. As soon as he saw farrell, wee meng and boon leng bearing down on him, he walked away from the pass to the sounds of boos and whistles from the supporters. Club player?

All i know next is alot of goals, 2 from thaqif and 1 from maplek nuri. Holding on to their slender lead, x-s battled on getting stuck into tackles in the middle of the park. In the dying moments, farrell and some-skinny-guy raced to a ball which was a golden scoring opportunity for montfort to get some goals. With a slight nudge, skinny-guy falls flat to the floor. "U have to be stronger than that to play football" says farrell, when asked after the match by reporters whether he had to resort to dirty-play. The final whistle brought a sigh of relief for the x-s players as they halted their losing streak and will now go into the NS break on a high.

Goalscorers: Yongliango Carlos (2), Fabreyaz, Boohano, Thierry Nuri, Thaqivo (2), Nizar Mansiz(og), Farrell Terry (og)

Man of the match: Nizar. After the horrendous mistake, morale was low. He dragged the team up and lifted morale with fine defensive work. Winning pracitcally every header, repelling every everything thrown at him and with 2 excellent last minute crunching tackles denied some cock-player and SEOW from scoring. Raddy, are u watching?

Moan of the match: Awful refereeing decision by yellow-shorts CLUB player. Television replays showed it was ball-to-hand. It seems refeering and playing striker gave him a bad view of the incident. This would surely by a strong case to FIFA supporting the use of technology to aid in refereeing decisions.

Insider verdict: Matches are most of the time marred by quarrels and fights which just speaks of the desire and will to win of x-s players. With some luck and the tacitical acumen of manager wee, x-s might get a winning streak akin to that of Liverpool currently. Ever onward andersonians! (zhonghua-rian and xinmin-ian included). Ganbate! kekex
