X-S FC continued their marvellous run as Shahrul scored a brace while setting up another two goals to help his team trashed The Fathers 7-0 early this morning. Even with Nizar unavailable, the X-S FC showed guts and skills to overcome their opponents in a fashionable manner.

Right from the kick-off, the lads, led by inspirational captain, Yasin were on the assault and as early as the eight minute, the flood gate was open courtesy of Shahrul. Picking the ball from Boon Leng, he lobbed the keeper from the left hand side and placed the ball on the top right hand corner, to give X-S FC a perfect start to the game. The match began to slow down as X-S FC controlled the match in every department. But drama soon unfold at the half hour mark when replacement striker, Jia Hui hobbled off the field after he was on the receiving end of a reckless challenge by the opponent. Vincent was brought in and the attack looked sharper after that. Just before half time, Wee Meng double the scoreline, in a rather controversial manner as the defenders were appealing offside. But the goal stands.

At half time, few changes were made. Shahrul was pushed to the right hand side of midfield with Derek slotting in at right back and Yong Liang on the left hand side of defence. The changes proved critical as X-S FC began to show their dominance in the game. Shahrul once again open the floodgate in the second half, this time shooting from outside of the penalty area from the right and gave the keeper no chance. He was time and again in the thick of action as his crosses were troubling the keeper. That carved an opening for Yasin as he stride to look for goal. Shahrul lifted the ball to the penalty aread beyond the reach of the defenders and with only the goalie to beat, Yasin lobbed the keeper. But somehow a defender rushed into the box and instead of clearing it out, he tucked it in into his own net. 4-0

It was soon 5-0 as Shahrul's cross was again fumbled by the keeper and he pushed it into his own net. By then, X-S FC had taken foot of the paddle and were dictating the action of the game. Wei Liang was rarely tested, and when he was, he showed his agility by pouncing on the ball. The defenders were absorbing all the pressure by then and the match looked to end at that scoreline. But Boon Leng and Khairul had other things in mind. First, Boon Leng placed a shot at the bottom right hand corner of the post, giving the keeper no chance. To add salt to the wound, Khairul burst from the halfway line, ran past the whole pack defence before whacking the ball in the net to make it 7-0 during injury time. A truly goals galore match.

Yasin and his X-S FC teammates will battle against an unknown but experienced team comprising of Fathers and Workers. Losing is definitely not an option for this young lad as he rarely taste defeat in soccer matches and like other matches, the team's morale could not get any better. Though the last minute injury on star striker Nuri(high fever)would have an impact on the match, the team should not be too concern as his replacement is one rare gem. Called back to the team after Nizar was unavailable, he was placed on the left side of midfield before being pushed up to the forward role. He proved his credential by hitting a hat-trick in a recent friendly match, so expect this young lad to be fired up for this game. As describe by his teammates, Jia Hui's ability to hold the ball well while creating chances for himself and for others add proved that he is an important asset to the team.

Missing in action for tomorrow's match besides Nuri will be Nizar whos presence will surely be miss. That means the pairing of Daniel and Boon Leng will have to work extra hard to pump in balls into the area for the forwards. New edition to the team, Wee Meng will provide much needed dimension to the attack. His crosses from the left would help alot in helping the team to create chances.

A worrying side for this team would be the defence, who had seen some shaky performances lately. The 2 full backs will have their work cut out and will have to try to stop crosses being being floated in as the centre backs are vulnerable to crosses. Fitness will also take a toll in this department as 2 players(Shahrul and Farrell) are not yet 100% fit.

A test of fitness, flair and speed will be battled out on the field tomorrow. Any chance of Yasin's men to win this game will boil down to how well the forwards take their chances and the defence containing the opposition. If they can perform the same way as they did in previous matches, there is no reason why X-S FC will not win this match.

Players to look out for : Khairul Huda, Daniel, Boon Leng

| pArKeR | btw...tmr our campbell-turned-striker cant play...he sed he got fever...under docs orders he cant play...he sae he cant plae properly...thus...~WM/WhiteMan/WeeMeng/Weemp(wimp)/WEE is an MP~ will plae...sori ah wee...cant help it...wee on the left...boon right...and so on...i am =GHOSTED=

| pArKeR | hiya..my turn...tmr got match...defenders..when in doubt, clear to THE SIDES!!..not in the middle... THE SIDES!! ..okae...so wingers, rem to collect clearances..dun leave ur positions...strikers, come back to defend...only until midfield lah...if u energizer can held until goalkeeper oso can..i dun mind...okae so its...8.30 at amk mrt...take 25 to hougang..alight after seein bus depot...i am =GHOSTED=
The team looks strong in attack. The towering height of Nuri adds depth and dimension to the team. His switch to the striker position helps the team to exploit his strength. Crosses are easily met by Nuri who has a natural and strong ability with his headers. However, he still needs to adjust to his new position as the timing of his runs can still be improve. Khairul, his striking partner, never looked short of energy. The plucky guy, who has come into ranks as one of the best striker in the school made his presence felt in training today. His never-ending runs plus his vison helps to carve openings for his fellow striker. Defenders will have their hands full when dealin with this chap. Nizar still looks well above the team's standard, easily the star player of the team. Once his in your team, your chances of winning can easily be doubled.

The midfield had a quiet training today. Nothing much happened durin the morning. Daniel and BoonLeng showed strength and speed in the game, with Daniel the main midfield generator. Boon Leng showed some sharp tacklings during training, showing that he can attack and defend at the same time. Over on the right, Yasin the captain showed some dazzling dribblings, but sometime was let down by his inability to cross the ball constantly over to the penalty box. However he showed glimpse of his power and accuracy in shooting.

The defence look shaky most of the times. With Nuri gone, the centre backs looked vulnerable from high crosses. Jasdeep was caught up at times from crosses, which end up with few goals being scored against him. Farrell however still looked strong, though he cant single-handledly clear all the balls away. But the 2 full backs showed some decent performance during training. Yong Liang was effective at right back, most of the times stoppin the attack from his position. Shahrul, switchin position with Nuri, looks shaky at times, but slowly settled down in his new role, dealing with most of the time Yasin n Yong Xiang(correct rite??)

Vincent and Yeoh Yong, were also impressive during training. To Vince's hard work and determination, he was rewarded a goal, thanks to a defence lapse, the culprit Jasdeep. Yeoh Yong can be seen as an ideal replacement for Nuri, though he lack the ability to outjump his striker. But his timed tackling erase any weakness in him. Clarence, the reserve goalkeeper showed some good handling, although towards the end he looks bored. But a reliable replacement nonetheless.

As the team prepare for their first match against THE FATHERS, one might wonder how the team can cope without Nizar as he is unavailable because of personal affairs. This will surely be a true test for the team, who just recieved endorsements from Umbro, the club main sponsor. Against a more physical and experience team, AndFC will have their hands full in keeping a respectable scoreline. However in soccer, anything is possible. Watch out for the new striking pair of Huda and Nuri. The defence have to buck up in order to contain the opponents, especially when it comes to dealing with high ball. The match looks set to be the toughest match AndFC had to go against with. But with their confidence running high, AndFC can just pull a surprise in the match. We will just have to wait for the final whistle to be blown on Sunday and see who will be left standing, and the other, well..still standing, but with pride scarred.

The next report will be the night before the match. Its gonna be hotter than Chelsea ManUtd match! All the Best!
