What a way to start a beautiful cool Sunday morning! Rain never came. But here's 2 proposals to brighten things up a little. Do note that prices will be lower if we opt for lower grade accomodations and 2 nights instead of 3.

A short island getaway for 3-4 days tentatively from 20th to 23rd July 2009.

Proposal 1: Pulau Besar 4D3N (All prices are per person) [need to contact Dcoconut Resort directly]

4 person per room: RM415 (Standard room) or RM455 (Deluxe)

PACKAGE INCLUDES:

• Welcome drink
• Accommodation in air-conditioned rooms
• Boat transfer ( Mersing/P.Besar/Mersing)
• Meals: (1B / 1L / 1D – per night stay)
• Free flow of hot beverages (Excluding alcoholic & carbonated drinks)
• Complimentary 1 snorkeling trip (Excl equipments) – (not applicable for extension stay)

ALI: Facilities look great. Seemingly better than Tioman. However, need to find a bus to take us to Mersing Jetty from Singapore though. No package tour available. Need to plan our way there.

Estimated costs:

SGD 225 at most for 4D3N with ferry fare to there and back
+ SGD 40 for bus ride there and back
+ Own money for bike rental/snorkelling
+ Own money for snacks and what nots

Grand total of at least SGD$300???

Proposal 2: Pulau TIOMAN (4D3N)(All prices are per person)
[Discovery Tours & Travel]

4 person per room: SGD179 (Standard room) or SGD$215 (Superior room) or SGD260 (Deluxe room)

• 2 way transport from SG to Tioman.
• Daily BUFFET breakfast
• 1 light lunch
• 2 BUFFET dinner
• Snorkelling excursion

Estimated costs:
SGD 215 (Superior room) for 4D3N with bus/ferry fare to there and back
+ Own money for bike rental/snorkelling
+ Own money for snacks and what nots

Grand total of at least SGD$250???

ALI: Only problem is we need to check with the agency whether there's a trip there on the day we want.
