For the umpteenth time, the dawn of a new era.
The Besider

X-S FC 3
Men of all ages 0

The opening 15 mins of the game reeked of effectiveness and glit-edged attacking football as X-S smashed 3 goals courtesy of Ahlongso, Nanizar and the elder Hud brother, Huda. Derek O'Leary was probably the most priviledged as he had the strongest and fullest squad ever to make his team selections. W.Liang kept his place between the sticks, with yong, eng, amin and farrell in front of him. Booney and Ahlongso occupied the centre while Thong and Fabreyaz had the flanks to run at. Nanizar and Huda spearheaded the team's lust for goals up front.

X-S took the lead as early as the 5th minute when a cross into the box was met by the head of Ahlongso as he outjumped the defender and the keeper to tap the header into the empty net. The 2nd goal came minutes after when Huda had a shot palmed into the path of Nanizar who placed it in to the empty net with much thanks for the keeper. The 3rd didnt take too long to follow as Ahlongso sent Huda racing clear and he applied a classy finish which had his trademark stamped all over it.

It was a game that outlined the lack of problems for the defence and attack, which was the main cause of worry in the past. The midfield never posed a problem as X-S could probably boast of the quality in its engine room. Previously lacking strikers, O'Leary now has a handful of them ready for the pickings. The defence never looked more comfortable when dealing with high balls, thanks to the introduction of Eng.

Men of the match: Ahlongso. A tad younger than his team-mates, yet playing with maturity and class well beyond his years. His deployment on the left wing left many to ponder if he ever had a weaker foot with his tantalising crosses. Special mention to Eng who showed why he'll be the first choice centre back for the team with his countless interceptions of balls and headers.

Words spread fast, and teams are already queueing up to have a go at the up and coming of sunday morning football all the way til Feb 2nd. The team will not lack matches, will it for willpower?
